By Private Transportation
Please follow our instructions if you are driving to our Hotel. Do not trust GPS or online maps as the new roads have not been updated. This will allow you to avoid detours and bad roads.
From International Airport Road or Belize City
Drive 166 km, 2h35m
Follow Philip Goldson Hwy to Corozal Town. DO NOT GO to Sarteneja through San Estevan or Progresso, as indicated by Google Maps.
Once in Corozal Town, please follow the instructions below to come through the new road.
From Chetumal, Mexico Border or Corozal Town
In Corozal Town, find Tony’s Inn and Beach Resort on a map to enter the road leading to Sarteneja Village. Google Maps will indicate you to follow the blue line on the map below. Follow the instruction points and roads added in this map in orange to ensure you make it to Sarteneja using the fastest way and new road:
1- Cross the bridge across New River.
2- At the Progresso junction take a left towards Copper Bank.
3- Arriving to Copper Bank, take a left to stay on the new road and avoid going through the village (see orange road added on map).
4- At the Cerros junction, go straight.
5- Cross the bridge across the lagoon.
6- At the Orchid Bay roundabout, go straight to stay on the new road (see orange road added on map) and avoid going through Chunox Village.
Keep going on the Chunox-Sarteneja Road until you almost reach the village. At the sign Welcome to Sarteneja, before the village entrance, take the road on your right to get to Horse Cottage.

Catch the bus at the Orange Walk Bus Terminal or in front of St Christopher Hotel where it stops for a break.
The Bus will drop you at the junction to the hotel (see map below)
By Boat

Take the Thunderbolt Water Taxi at the pier
leaving at 7am Monday to Sunday
From San Pedro Island – US$25
Take the Thunderbolt Water Taxi at the pier
leaving at 3pm Monday to Sunday
We can arrange a taxi from the Sarteneja pier to the hotel – US$5 – or you can walk to the hotel (see map below)
